Visa Application process

-All single Journey, Transit and Courtesy visa are applied online at evisa.go.ke

-Multiple Journey, Referred visas and East African Visas will still be processed at the Embassy.

For Multiple, Referred and East African Visas, download the forms, present the forms at the Embassy from 9.00-12.00 for afternoon collection or from 14.00-15.30 for collection during the next working day. By Post, Send the forms, photos and payment on registered mail together with self-addressed, stamped, and registered envelope for the return of passports by post at your own risk

The Requirements are as stated below;

1. MULTIPLE JOURNEYS VISA (Valid for 1 YEAR)

Multiple Entry Visas are processed and approved from office of the Director of Immigration Services, in Nairobi Kenya. The requirements for applications at the Embassy are;

  • Two duly filled Application forms with contact details of address in Kenya
  • Two copies of the passport with validity of not less than 6 months
  • Copies of passport pages showing visas and entry stamps of previous visits
  • Two passport size photos
  • Letter of introduction and application from employer/company/organisation in Kenya
  • Certificate of incorporation or Registration from sending organisation in Kenya
  • Letter of request from sponsoring organisation /Company in the Netherlands
  • Non Refundable Application Fee: Euros 10.00
  • Processing time is 6 - 8 weeks and after approval we require the following for issuance;
  • Duly filled Application form
  • Original Passport with validity of not less than 6 months
  • One passport size photo
  • Fees: Euros 80.00

2. REFERRED VISAS (please refer to list of countries in this category)

Referred Visas are processed and approved from office of the Director of Immigration Services, in Nairobi Kenya. The applicants must submit;

  • Three duly filled Application forms
  • Three copies of the passport with validity of not less than 6 months
  • Three passport size photos
  • Copies of The Netherlands Residence permit
  • Letter from the sponsoring organization plus Identity documents if it is an individual
  • Non Refundable Application Fee: Euros 10.00
  • Processing time is 6- 8 weeks and after approval we require;
  • Duly filled Application form
  • Original Passport with validity of not less than 6 months
  • One passport size photo
  • A Single Entry Visa fee of Euros 40.00

3. East African Tourist Visa

You can apply for the East African Tourist Visa at the Embassy. 

Note: Please do not procure tickets before authority to travel is issued

General information regarding visas and Entry into Kenya

A visa is valid for entry within 90 days from the date of issue. A visa is not the final authority to enter Kenya the duration of the stay in Kenya is determined by a Visitors pass issues by the immigration officer on arrival and it can be issued valid for 90 days with possible extensions to 180 days

A Kenyan visa allows re-entry into Kenya within its validity from Uganda, Tanzania, Rwanda and Burundi

Entry on a visa does not allow a visitor to engage in any work including charity/Voluntary work, Research and internship. Such action would render the visa invalid and make the holder liable to prosecution. To engage in other activities not specified in the visa, please obtain necessary permits and passes from Immigration Department in Nairobi, Mombasa, Nakuru, Eldoret  and Kisumu

HEALTH

Persons from Europe, North America, Canada and Japan do not require yellow fever and cholera vaccination certificates to enter Kenya.  Travelers from areas prevalent with yellow fever and cholera are required to have vaccination certificates. Malaria prevention is strongly recommended, and travelers are advised to bring along malaria prophylaxis as well as personal medicines, sun protection cream and mosquito repellent.

The following Nationalities do not require visa to enter Kenya

Barbados, Belize, Botswana, Brunei, Burundi, Cyprus, Dominica, Ethiopia** Fiji Island, Ghana, Grenada, Jamaica, Kiribati, Lesotho, Malawi, Malaysia*, Maldives, Mauritius, Namibia, Nauru, Papua New Guinea, Rwanda, Samoa, Sierra Leone, Singapore, Solomon Islands, South Africa*, St Kitts and Navis, St Lucia, St Vincent and the grenadines, San Marino**,Swaziland, Seychelles, Tanzania, The Bahamas, The Gambia, Tonga, Trinidad and Tobago, Tuvalu, Uganda, Vanuatu, Zambia and Zimbabwe.

The following Nationalities must obtain referred Visa before departure for Kenya.

Afghanistan, Armenia, Azerbaijan,  Cameroon, Democratic  People’s Republic of Korea, Eritrea, Iraq, Kasovo, Lebanon,  Libya, Mali, Palestine, Senegal, Somali, Syria and Tajikistan

All other Nationalities

All other nationalities require visas to enter Kenya. The visas   can be obtained on arrival in Kenya, or at any Kenyan Embassy, High Commission or consulate abroad.

The Kenyan Embassy in the Hague wishes to notify all e-Visa applicants of a scam e-Visa website namely http://www.kenya-evisa-online.com. This is a commercial website that is similar to our official Government e-visa website and is not working for the Government of Kenya.

In this portal e-Visa applicants are charged between US $ 100 – US $ 120 as opposed to the US $ 51 charged by the Government of Kenya.
